I just listed Bluebell last Sunday at about 7:45 PM PST. She's needle felted from Corriedale, Merino and baby llama wool around a wire frome and she is posable. her wings were hand dyed after they were sculpted. She measures 7 inches long and 5 1/4 inches tall.
What a sweet pig, you know the saying "If Pigs Could Fly", the color of the eyes and the wings make it so great looking and the work is so perfect. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Great work. Thanx for sharing.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments! I really liked doing this little piggy.
Beautiful work! He's a very well sculpted piggy. I love flying pigs! Cincinnati Ohio, my hometown, was known for meat packing and soap industry and earned the knickname"Porkopolis" in the early years. When the city had its bicentennial in 1988, a memorial park, including these sculptures, was built and dedicated. They are standing on crowns to recall Cincinnati's other nickname "The Queen City" (as in queen of the west--funny to think of Ohio as the west!) Ever since, the flying pig is sort of a symbol of the city.
Well, I declare, pigs do fly! Great job!
Hugs,
Alison
