I've been fighting this auction for a week! If it's not one thing it's another! One main things is my Image host shows an image as uploaded, but scrolling over them gives that hated little blue square with the Question mark...

OK, so I'll just go with the ones that I have, but a can't get the thumbnail/cover image to show up.
I haven't had many auctions in the past 6 months & have forgotten a few things and HATE Firefox anyway, but tell me if anyone sees that I've entered this url incorrectly.

Does the url need < > or "  " or anything? They've begun the http:// w/o it so I assumed I just fill in the rest w/o it.

I enter the url, click the Button  - - and nothing happens.
No image appears, I don't get bumped back to the auction info-entering page, nothing. It just sits there.
If I get back on my own, the page looks like I've entered no image and if I go forward until the Preview your Listing, there is no image attached to the auction listing.

Is there some new trick to getting this listed?
Am I supposed to be using Basic? Self Hosting?
Why does this seem so ornery this week????

This shows the entry of the url, of my host - tupics.

I hit the 'Insert Picture'  button and the url disappears and the page/window just sits there.
What am I doing wrong???

Bobbie, are you using the ebay photosystem or are you self hosting with a website like photobucket....if it's the later you must click self host and then go to the hosting website and copy & paste their URL code for that picture. If it's ebay's photosystem, usually you just click and your "my pictures" will come up and you can choose your picture..

Denise, I'm using an outside host as I always have - 'tupics.com'

The whole url is, as shown above:   http://www.tupics.com/silver/rkr4cds/st6.jpg

My acct type is 'silver'; 'rkr4cds' means my acct; and 'st6.jpg' is the name of the Cover image

In my html coding the images are uploaded like this, in one line (I didn't write this Ilze did, I just follow directions!!!) -
<img src="http://www.tupics.com/silver/rkr4cds/st6.jpg">

So I couldn't remember if eBay required a set of quotation marks "  "  or brackets  <  > .

I shut off the computer completely to see if restarting it would help 'Refresh' everything - but from the first time the mouse suddenly decided to play dead, then would scurry around and then play dead again... until I had to again shut off the computer completely (Never a good thing!)
And then my wireless keyboard decided she wanted in on the Strike Action too!.. .. Sheesh...

I'm quitting for tonight! I've truly got a headache and my eyes are crossed!!

Bobbie,

below is how mine looks, and I copy the code in "direct link" in photobucket...so it doesn't have the "www" or any inverted commas...goodluck

Well, it worked OK today - took the image OK - with the www. included! I think everything was just being contrary with me yesterday with me - one of those days when nothing would go right.

Thx!
