Hi all
I have just finished a weekend bear making course taught by Gregory Gyllenship. Had a great time, learned loads and am feeling worn out today! Gregory was brill...really generous with loads of great tips, full of really useful insights into 'what makes a great bear' and just inspirational. I have attached a photo of my finished bear. Of course I have called him Gregory! He is one big armful of bear!
Regards
Sue
Wow! What a big handsome bear, just love him

He's fantastic, Sue! I really like the sculpting you did on the face, and his big stocky proportions look very huggable:)
Glad to hear that the workshop was a good experience.

I guess you were Gregory's "star" pupil ?
Will you be making your own BIG bears now ?

Wow - he's a stunner! Really looks like a Gregory bear . . . great job!
Oh boy, I would have thought your bear was a Gregory bear Sue, what a fantastic job you have done.
Hugs, Jane.
Lucky you getting to take a class from him. What a great bear!
Hugs,
Alison
I bet you've had a lovely time!!!! Lucky you!! ! And your bear turned out perfect! A real handsome chap!
Thank you all for your kind remarks. Gregory is a great teacher. His pattern is amazing. It really threw me as it is very different to any pattern I have ever used before. I certainly couldn't have produced the bear without his excellent guidance. He brought two of his finished bears to show us, one classical and one of his more modern style. They were completely stunning...perfection in bear shape!
The course was a treat to myself and money well spent! I will now have to come back down to earth, and think about my next project.
Regards
Sue
You've done such a great job, Sue, looks every bit a "Gregory" bear! Congratulations!
He's absolutely fabulous!!! What a fantastic way to treat yourself
He is wonderful!!!
oh he's so gorgeous! You just want to pick him up and give him a big cuddle
My shoulder aches at the very thought of stuffing him tho!
Thanks again, all. Too right, Karen! I felt exhausted after stuffing him. I think I would need to 'go into training' if I made bears that size regularly.
Fabulous bear Sue    And nice to hear, in a roundabout way, that Gregory has recovered from his recent operation!

He's gorgeous and so so huggable. Love the fabric!
Sue, he's just beautiful.........and big! I can see why you say you were exhausted after stuffing him. You did a great job with him.
I really love it when you take a course and the teacher really does share all those things you need to make a bear (or whatever) very successful. It's a gift!
