Hi there.

I have just joined the "Feather Weight Club".

I went on a course to do Mixed Media and they had two for sale.

It cost £75.00 - have I got a bargain?  As you folk are always raving about them I thought I had better take advantage and purchase one.

It is really sweet, circa 1950, in its original case with its original receipt for £3.00 something!!!

Hi Karon, I think you got a bargain, and you didn't have the worry of buying one online and hoping it survives the journey!

I have three featherweights, and LOVE all three  bear_wub  They are such adorable little machines. All three of mine work perfectly, but i don't use them for sewing my bears as most of my bears are synthetic fur at the moment, and I'm not used to machine sewing so prefer sewing by hand. They are beautiful machines  bear_original

I would say, too, that you got a real bargain. I just recently purchased my first one and it is so cute. I got mine from a TT member, Cathy Forcino and several members have gotten their Featherweights from her. Congratulations.

bear_wub  What a bargian, they run from 150 up to 475 and even higher if it is a pastel color.  Lucky you, I have my daughter looking at estate sales that she frequents. I really want one also but can not afford it.  ENJOY!!

Many thanks for your response ladies,

You have confirmed what I thought, it was a bargain!

If I have any teething problems I will ask for your help.
