I seem to be jinxed.  Would anybody know why my website should be removed from the Google search engine.  I have had my site for 4 years and when Valewood Bears is typed into the search box I always consistently come at the top cos that's the name of my website.  But now, actually since Sunday I have gone away and bear pile, blog and lots of other things relating to Valewood Bears are there instead.  I know it is still on line as people can get into it through the blog, bear pile etc but I have spent 3 days trying to get to the bottom of it with no luck.   Just wondered if anybody else had this happen too or maybe could shed a little bit of light on it for me.

Pauline,

I just googled Valewood Bears and your blog comes up first and then the Bearpile link. Not sure why it didn't do that when you tried.

Hi Gijzette,

Thanks for having a look, yes that is exactly what happens when I look too,  but my actual website does not come up, it used to do and then the blog etc after, but since Sunday it has gone and now it's just the blog, bear pile etc.  Its like I don't have a website, Google have definitely taken me off their search engine, I just have to find out why.

I'm finding the same as you when I Google your name. But when I click on your link it says "Oops!!Link appears to be broken!"
Sorry I can't help.:(
Are you sure it isn't Google's ranking system?

Hi Cyndee

Thanks so much for having a check.  This message started to come up late last night!!  The new message about the broken link is from my hosting company, it appears that I extended my bandwith.  The same thing happened last month and I was down for 3 days, before then I didn't even know what Bandwith was!!,  after ringing up the hosting company they put me back on the 1st September but now after 9 days it has been cut off again last night!!!

The Google thing is a different problem but I think I figured it out that last time the hosting company disable me, Google may have done a crawl during that time and found the broken link (which the hosting company had done) and kicked me off their Search Engine.  I may have to firstly get another hosting company and then try to get back onto the Google search,  all a little bit over my head, not sure I can do it!!  I can manage my website, putting bears on, taking bears off etc but when it comes to all this I don't think I can manage it.

I'm glad you have figured it out somewhat.
I know nothing about computers and only knew what I saw. Then I asked my husband who is an expert as he works forensics on the computers for the police department. He said it could be several different things. If you get in a bind let me know and maybe he can help you. He will be leaving town next weekend to work on a homicide in different state and will be gone for about 5 days but if you get lost just ask.
