My obsession with polar bear continues. Qannik is about 40cm tall. His pattern has taken me about 18 months to develop to this point. He has a double neck joint, an armature and can stand unaided. Hope you like him.
Hooray for your obsession! This big guy is brilliant -- impressive, yet heart-meltingly adorable.

My aim is to try to get a reasonable approximation to a real bear shape, but with a sweet teddy bear expression. I'm really happy with how he's turned out.

Great to hear from you. So pleased you like him. I'm in Ashford. Because I work full-time I don't get to many fairs, so don't really get to meet anyone. The only person I know in this neck of the woods is Barbara Ann Cunningham. In fact, I did a workshop with her nearly two years ago. She was wonderful, considering I didn't have a clue and was completely new to bearmaking!
