'Duck Soup' left me in a birding mood, and although I don't usually do reprises, I really enjoy doing the leather vignettes, so I've been working on a snowy egret with chick for the last few weeks. as Egrets live further south, I was able to make this one a bit more lush and tropical - and I never thought I'd find a use for that lavender & peach snakeskin, but it sure makes terrific flowers!

Fantastic Kelly, I love egrets, such graceful, beautiful birds. I love the way you have shaded their bills, looks so natural. I can only imagine the hours you spent adding those tiny little flowers, I know you are detail oriented, and all those little details really pay off.

I am so amazed of how you can do such wonderful artwork in leather and feathers. I have always seen leather as a material for shoes, bags and coats. But you have rock my world but I have no idea how you do it to get the leather to stay in that shape?! If I had been living in New York I would been arrested for being your stalker! :crackup: I have seen photos of your gorgeous shop and I would camp outside it every day! bear_grin You are a such inspiration source!
