I use Webs : http://www.webs.com (formerly Freewebs).

Very easy to use and you an use it for free. They have great tutorials.

Ditto Sophie! www.webs.com I pay a small annual fee to get rid of adverts. Very easy to make look nice too, well I think so.

I use Yola.com, can do free or pay.  I use free, I love them, so easy to use,  no adds. I did purchase my domain name through godaddy, You can do it through Yola completely free,  but I already owned the domain name.   Even that was simple and cheap.

I started using webs.com as well. It seems to work pretty well.  Haven't put anything up yet, but it works so far.
