I have been wondering why no one speaks anymore about ATCs and ACEOs nor publish any.

I was just beginning to have fun making them when suddenly it looked like everybody decided to turn the page and do something else.
So I still have six available but do not know with whom to exchange them...  bear_cry

That's a shame because it was so much fun making them.

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Good question, Sophie.  Guess it was a short-lived phase for TTers, but I know Shelli still participates.  Check out her blog . . . she has some gorgeous work there.  I put ones I had made in Christmas cards a few years ago.

ATC.jpgbaby20Deegan.jpgThese are just a couple I made.  I use to make one for each bear I sold to go with that bear.

ATC stands for Artist Trading Card. This card should only be traded and not sold.

ACEO stands for Artist Card Editions and Originals and can be sold.

Artist trading cards were developed as collectible cards. Each one is a miniature work of art designed and created by a the artist.  Cards can be made with a multitude of materials and often include original artwork as well as photos of the bears that the Artist has created.

Here are a few rules on the making of the cards:

•ATC must be 2.5 X 3.5 inches in size. (68 X 89 mm) This size is the same as other trading cards and is a standard in the industry.
•ATC cards are traded, and should not be sold. ACEO cards can be sold.
•The back of the card should contain the contact information for the artist including his/her name, email and or address, website, card number and or numbered edition and the name of the card itself.

Shelli posted this information back when she was active on TT.

Hi Sophie

I wondered that lately too just when I was thinking about doing them with my bears. There are some great sites on the net with fabulous artists maybe you could sign up with one I think Shelli's site is a good place to start.

I didn't even realize there was an ACEO event here on TT!!!

I'm sure you've seen mine on my blog... I make them a bit randomly... but I'd be more than happy to make some for TT to trade!
