Posts: 61I guess this has to do with the size of the washers, as well as how much you stuff... I like my bears to be floppy so I stuff quite loosely, which means you can feel the joints. But I use slightly smaller washers so they won't protrude.. The old bears I've felt have quite large washers and they can definitely be felt too --- so I was wondering, how much can yours be felt and do you try to make them disappear in the stuffing or no?
Carlyle Bear Co.I'm a firm stuffer so you can't feel the joints in my bears at all. Unless I have used the incorrect size for a bear and then you can feel them.
The Littlest ThistleI'm a firm stuffer too, although I do use plastic beads at times. You can feel them a little bit, but not much, mainly because I lightly cover them with polyfill first
PottersHouse BearsWhen I make my floppy "old bears", I use cotter pins. This does not leave much in the joint to be felt. Even though you don't get as tight of a joint, it doesn't really matter if I want the bear to be floppy.
