'O Best Beloved' 19"
Yes, it's almost show time again, which means many UK and overseas bear artists will have their noses pressed firmly against the bear-making grindstone! I'm no exception and have been busy working on my first couple of bears for this fabulous show which takes place in London on the 28th Feb.
I wanted to try something new this year, so have been developing my 'vintaging' skills! These bears are from my brand new collection, 'Best Beloveds,' - a collection of loyal, careworn teds. They will be making their formal debut at 'The Winter Bearfest' show.

Aww, loving the vintaging you've been up to. Can't wait for the fair, don't know which stall to rush to first
Lovely bears - i look forward to seeing them in the fur - i'm sooooo excited!
Love them, they will be a big hit at Hugglets
Pauline
Wow Paula I love your work very much
And for the first time I will be able to see them live!!!!!!!! As I go to Hugglets for the first time!
A Dutch teddybear artist who is also exhibiting at Hugglets asked me to join her.
I didn't have to think twice to say YES!!!
I am looking forward to meet you and your bears.
PS: time flies you know........pha ha ha
Great to hear some of you will be at the show! Not long to go now!
Delighted that you like this new style for my work - it's been hard work, but a lot of fun!
Indeed Paula it is a lot of fun to work on new designs. I finally found the time to work on my new designs as well. They were planned a long time ago but somehow I didn't manage to work them out. Now I did and believe me, there is a real bear-bunny-attack in my house now
My head is filled with new ideas and they only thing in my mind is: bears, bears, bears.........but I know that you will recognize this..
Too huggable for words! I love them both.
I really like your new style bears. The style suits their appealing faces. I'm sure they will be a success
I love these little Oldies of yours Paula- been following the thread on Masterbearcrafters with much interest.
It's so strange to see your bears all tattered, I always associate your bears with being immaculate and perfect- no scruffs for you! hehe You have done an awesome job stepping outside your "zone".
Wish I was going to be there to see them in person!
They are gorgeous! I especially love Nesbit
Thanks everyone! As Karen says, it has been quite a learning curve for me to distress my bears for a vintage look. There's much more work involved than I at first realised. It really is quite an addictive process!
Love them!!! Look forward to seeing them in the fur at Hugglets!!
Hugs Yvonne
