Has anyone used food coloring to dye mohair?  Is it the same as dying with Kool-aid?  I know food coloring is an acid dye but I've never used it on mohair before.  I have dyed doll hair before with food coloring & it looked ok.

well I tried food coloring last night.  I did it just about the same way as kool-aid with boiling water & mixing the dye.  I then let the mohair hang out over night.  Sadly the next day the color just washed right out bear_sad not sure if there is a trick to dyeing with food coloring or not.  I gave up & mixed up some kool-aid LOL

I think you have to add some vinegar to the dye bath to get it to hold.
