I've been somewhat obsessed for the last  couple of months (to put it mildly) with Lily the Black bear, the Den cam, and little Hope (Lily's cub)...........against my better judgement, joined Facebook to keep up with all the goings on at the den.......NOTHING at all against Facebook    , but I just don't have the time to spare, to really get "into" it!.
So - profound apologies to anyone who tried to contact me thru FB....... I regard you all as dear friends, and hope no-one felt snubbed.
Lily and cubbie should leave the den in the next few weeks, and I can get my life back - and MAKE bears(!).........but I wouldn't have missed the Den Cam experiences for the world.

Oh, I understand what you mean, Maria.  I usually watch Lily/Hope from the Wildearth site and enjoy reading all the Facebook posts.  I'm not a member, either, and can't access all the pages they've set up concerning Lily, but do applaud and appreciate what they've been able to accomplish regarding raising funds for the bear research organization, getting signatures on a petition to stop hunters from killing collared research bears, and just spreading the word about the true nature and habits of the black bear.  Not quite so impressed with the effort and energy they put into voting for Ely as the coolest small town, but they're having fun with it.  Some of the FB people are really clever and the names they come up with for all the little extraneous intrusions at the den are cute.  And the birthday parties for Hope every Friday are crazy.  All in all, Facebook has been a very positive asset for Lynn Rogers' group.  I certainly will miss watching the activity at the LilyPad.
