bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  I guess Lily and Hope have left their den for real this time.  They departed around the middle of the day yesterday and haven't returned.  I, along with hundreds of other Lily watchers, have been staring at an empty nest trying desparately to "will" them back - just for one last look and goodby.
One of the researchers (Sue Mansfield) reported that Hope was making a successful effort to climb trees, so guess that is good news.  It was an extraordinary experience to witness 24/7 the lives of these two special bears and I hope it's just the beginning of many such adventures.

bear_cry  bear_cry I got that same feeling when I went on the site and the den was empty.  I will be worried sick about Hope until maybe they return to the den next winter.
It was such a wonderful experience that few can say they had.  It was a wonderful site and I thank whom ever it was here on TT that told us to tune in, I can't remember when or who it was but thanx so much for the time of our lives watching this little pumpkin grown and be a part of their life.
Hugs pat

Hi Sue Ann, bear_flower

Yes, it is very very very sad!  I have been watching at every possible opportunity, laughing at their funny little antics and cringing when hearing Lily bite away at the microphone and camera!!  It has been totally enthralling to watch these two beautiful creatures, a real privilege, and everyone has learnt so much through being able to take a peek into their daily lives in this manner.  Felt a bit like a spy at times!  "Charlotte" will have the den to herself now!!

I did read somewhere that conditions may be a little cold tonight so they may return to the den again.  Let's all keep our fingers crossed!

Hugs

Oh, I echo what each of you said.  I am one of those staring at the empty den wishing for one more glimpse of the girls.  I keep thinking I hear familiar little sounds, but who knows.  I feel so sad   bear_cry , but I'm sure that they are feeling free and a new sense of adventure.   Just wish we could watch them exploring outside the den too.

Maybe they couldn't handle the thought of more fans from all of Dr. Roger's TV appearances this week  bear_whistle
I am just thrilled that we were able to experience this incredible journey !

Me too - feel like a lost soul today bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry ......I keep checking in and there it is - the empty den, and nothing but the sound of the wind. I  almost expect to see mini tumbleweed blowing folornly across.....
But we've all been on an incredible journey, right from that first glimpse of Hope's tiny paw reaching out to Lily, minutes after birth, to watching  her develop  into the cheeky, feisty little Diva she has become.
Sue Mansfield promises regular updates - and hopefully lots more piccies like the glorious one she posted on the latest update...........
and all we can do is wish Hope and Lily well............but right now, I'm STILL hoping they might pop back to the den!
big huggies
