albino squirrel with oak branch
I really wanted to capture a squirrel perching in a tree, but didn't want to do a huge piece with a heavy base, so I fashioned a 14" 'floating' oak branch instead. constructed of leather over a wire armature (each leaf is wired also), the branch can be posed, viewed from all sides, and also positioned on it's side. the 20 leaves are done with 2 subtle patterns of metallic leopard print leather & 2 shades of gold and brown, each leaf meticulously machine embroidered and top-stitched
the 10" squirrel is constructed from super-dense Kravet upholstery faux fur with a 12" tail done in lush Belgian synthetic. pink leather paw pads and eyelids over antique pink taxidermy eyes, ivory leather claws, 5 disk joints, 8 mechanical joints, magnets in paws (& in one leather acorn) and a full locline spine.
Bravo    Another master piece.

gosh, thanks everyone - and a special thanks to Pat Hage, who pointed out the exisitence of albino squirrels to me when I posted 'Chock Full of Nuts' on here. . .
I did a bit more scultpting on the trunk and moved a few leaves last night & took a few more pics today . .
WONDERFUL!!!
Oh wow, the squirrel and the branch are both amazing
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx Kelly, that sure is one beautiful white squirrel. My love for squirrels had me tested this past week, I had the unfortunate task of capturing some squirrels that decided to live in the rafters of my garage. I captured 4, one a day and relocated them about 10 miles away in all different places. They were young grey squirrels, not as wonderful as yours. Thanx for the mention.
Great work as usual.
love, love love :))
