2.jpg3.jpg1.jpgI stumbled across this wee fellow, while antiquing on holiday.  He's 3 1/4 " tall x 3 1/4 " long and he doesn't appear to be mohair - too soft.  He is stuffed rock hard with excelsior, with felt ears and glass eyes and I believe he wears his original ribbon around his neck, which says Germany, but he isn't a Steiff.  Anyone know anything about vintage toy dogs.  I'm keeping him for me, but would love to know who made him.

                             hugs,

                             Brenda

Wow, is he every adorable, Brenda!
Might he be made of rayon art silk? That is softer than mohair and kind of shiny usually. I've never come across one just like him so really can't tell you anything. He sure is in excellent shape.  Great find!

Aw! Isn't he gorgeous! I believe Schuco made dogs as well as bears, but couldn't say for sure. He's a real sweetheart though
