It is just a short curly plush and I just got some in black from a supplier here but I know she doesn't ship overseas. There has to be someone over there for you to get it from. It does have a stretchy backing as it is not an expensive plush or anyway what I got wasn't. Good luck and hopefully someone else can help you.
Might that be a cotton plush in the photo? (Not that I know where to buy it, but that's the impression I get.)
Good luck!
Becky
thanks becky and eva, is it market as 'short curly plush'?
its only the cheep stuff needed to make a child friendly prototype ...

Try these guys -
http://www.fabricuk.com/fabrics.php
I can't find any on the website but I went down to the warehouse a couple of weeks back and I am sure that I saw something similar to that in a range of Colours - it might be worth an email?
Here is the link. Beverly is a great gal to work with and even though it might not be on the website, email her and see if she has anything like it. The black I got wasn't on the website. http://www.imstuffedfur.com
It looks like cotton fur, I got some from ProBear. And they shipped to me in the US from overseas.
Here is the link (I hope, anyway this is what you're looking for)

My new bear is out of the cotton fur. I'll list it tomorrow and you can see if it's the kind of fabric you're talking about.
