Hi guys and gals,
I love Tami's cute animal pic of the day, but I cannot resist sharing this with you.
Big boys don't cry, but when I first saw the video of the new born pandas in Madrid, I couldn't help wiping away a tear of joy.
But first : especially for Jane : In Duisburg (Germany) they celebrated the 50th Urang Utan that was born in the zoo. She is two weeks old and is the daughter of Amatis.
In the Madrid Zoo they celebrated the birth of two Pandas. These guys are now 15 days old.
Here is a video of the newborns, that is just amazing: http://www.zoomadrid.com/es/osos-panda- … en-15-dias
What a great way to start the day!
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Aaawww, you are so right Peter, a wonderful way to start the day ..
The baby pandas are absolutely beautiful! I am sure that if I worked at the zoo, I wouldn't get any work done for watching these cute little bundles of fun all the time!
Thank you for sharing the news Peter!
Hugs

I would love to visit Duisburg zoo an see that cute baby orang, one day maybe.
Hugs, Jane.
If you like youngborn pandas have a look at these video clips:

These babies are so cute. I had no idea that pandas were born with such a long tail. You learn something new everyday.

what darling pictures and video. I love baby animals. Thanks for posting them Peter.
Amazed by their longggggggggggggggggggggg tails. Baby ferrets are born with tiny tails that grow long, as they grow. Yet Giant Pandas as babies have long tails that seem to get smaller as they grow. How unusual.
Tried to find more about this in the net, but no luck so far.
Sweet little orang! Loved all the panda videos, but wondering where mama panda is when the newborns are featured. Seems like the babies should be cuddling/nursing with their mothers instead of a soft blanket/plushie substitute.

That was my very first thought too Sue Ann, such a shame they are not tucked up nice and snuggled against the warmth of their mums soft fur, but I guess
these little fellows have a greater chance of survival by other methods. Still awfully gorgeous and cute though!

Both photos are wonderful! Thanks for sharing Peter!
