I am in a quandary.  I have recently somehow hurt my neck, it is from all the end of the year testing of kids at school.  So for about the past three weeks I have been unable to sit at the computer.   I realized during this time that I am getting so much more bear making done.

So with the new year coming I would like to cut back on some of the time spent there.  Where do you get the most bang for your buck, so to say?
blogging, facebook, here? (I will never give up here)  I just can't do it all anymore and need to make some changes, any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Ooh, hard one, I keep up with so many different people at 4 different places, but then I come in from work and eat my dinner while browsing because it's just me, and no-one cares about my table manners, or lack thereof  bear_laugh

Hope you can work something out  bear_original

It's hard, Joanne, especially since I recently added The Hive to my daily places.  I always check Facebook, because I'm hooked up there with family as well as friends, but I have to say I really enjoy my time at the Hive.  I think I'd go with what you enjoy the most :o)

I agree with you, Joanne!  You can get a lot more accomplished on your bears when you cut back on the computer time.  I vowed in 2010 to spend less time on the computer all together.  I told myself I would allot no more than 1-1/2 hours each day for computer.  Then, I joined facebook and I wasn't able to stick to my plan.  I intend to try again in 2011!   One and a half hours and no more each day - split up however I'm feeling that day!  If I want to spend more on emails and less on facebook one day and then switch the next day, I'll do that.  Good luck to you however you choose to split it up!

Well I only come on the computer usually in the evening. Once I am home from work I sit and work on bears or other stuff . Then I spend about one hour on the computer catching up on Facebook and on here. Now on facebook I am not that active. I will read most peoples post and sometimes add a comment. But I don't spend a great deal of time looking at everything. I check Teddy Talk and scoot through the photo's of new bears and see what is going on. Again I don't always comment which I know is bad but I just don't have the time to comment on all the post. You just have to divy up you time the best you can. Sitting at the computer is very hard on a person's body so best to do it in short time frames anyway.

Thanks for your responses.  I will figure something out.  I do think that I will have to make some changes and remove myself from some of the places I visit daily.

I think it depends on what kind of bang for your buck you're looking for. Most friends and fellow artists to chat with? Most collectors to help increase awareness and sales for your business? Both? I think you have to decide what is most beneficial for you. There are places I only check in on once a week or so, others I go to every day. It may not be a question of eliminating the others all together but not frequenting them nearly as often.
