Hey everyone :-)
I am in the uk and love making miniature bears from sassy longpile and other plush fabrics. I always buy from sassybearsandfabrics.com, but as I have tried several times to place my order these past few days I am presented with a message saying the site cannot calculate shipping rates to my destination! I have contacted the owner of the site, but have yet to hear back from her. I am hoping it is just a glitch on the site that will be fixed, but cannot help being overcome by the fear that I may have to say goodbye to making my little plush friends! Does anyone know what I can do or where else I can buy such lovely fabrics? Please help!

Hi Amy, Sassy might be closed for Xmas but until then, you can buy Sassy from Emmery Bears:

I have always found their service first class and they will be having a sale in the next few days!

Thanks Ali, they do have some of the fabrics I liked :-) I was after some of the miniature noses and leather cording from sassy which emmerybears does not have. Certainly a good back up though! I ordered from Sassy successfully on Dec 26th so don't think they could be closed for Xmas. Hmm strange, you don't think she's stopped posting internationally do you?
I do feel relieved that I can still buy my fave fabrics :-)

I noticed that Sassy's ebay shop is still running and it says ships worldwide.  I also noticed that it asks "Please allow more time during holidays."  Perhaps she's away for the New Year or maybe she's poorly, but I am sure she will be in touch as soon as she can.  She is a TT member (although I'm not sure if she visits often), perhaps one of our friends over the pond can help.

If you don't mind looking alittle further afield, you might like to look at this website:

Hello Amy,

Lesley of Bruin's Bruins emailed me about your post so I have regestered with Teddy Talk so that I could reply to you! I have just started stocking Sassy Fabrics but have yet to put them on my site. I have in stock Sassy long pile,Smokey long pile, Frosted long pile, Extra long sparse, Medium pile cashmere and Ultrasuede soft and light in various colours. All of the Sassy fabrics have been dyed by me with the exception of the Frosted long pile.

My first task for the new year is to photograph the many colours and get them on my new online shop (this will replace my existing website) and also to prepare shade cards so that people can see the fabrics in the fur so to speak. I will also be stocking the other components for miniature bear making in the near future and hope that people can be patient with me in the meantime. My aim is to be a one stop shop for miniature bear makers in the UK. I hope that this helps to put your fears at rest.

Best wishes,
April.

Thank you April, that sounds wonderful and I hope that I can buy all of my materials direct from you in the future. That way I don't have to worry about custom's fees :-) I just sent you an email and would be so grateful for any advice you can offer :-) xxx
