I love Rick Mercer, too, Shane - he is always fun to watch.  The bears were adorable beyond words bear_original  Algonquin Park is very large - it used to border the small town we lived in for 20 years, Deep River, so we had a lot of interaction with bears.  If the food crop was low at all, they inevitably ended up in town after the crab apple trees etc.  It was nothing to see one in town.
