Hi Ladies...

I'm Making My Very First Bear...And I'm just thinking ahead, and want to create depth, color etc...
I have read that you can paint on the fur once completed, with Acrylic paints?!?!?!...

Any advise on what the BEST products give those effects  bear_original ..
Thanks in Advance!!

Hi Adj,

I just checked the library (pull-down menu above your post) and the third thread in the painting/shading/airbrushing category is about acrylics. I'll bet you can find other interesting threads in that section as well.

Good luck!

When I shade with acrylics I use Folk Art Brand Artist's Pigment.  I can water them down and dry brush them on and still get a nice amount of color.  After I use them I hit the fur with a warm blow dryer (be sure to keep it moving so as not to scorch the fur) to set the paint.

I have recently discovered hard chalk pastels for shading.  I find them really easy to use, it is like applying make-up.
