Just read it: it's a great article! I could do with some of those cookie cutters XD
But it isn't the last! Dean's are still making bears in Herefordshire
An interesting and well-written article!

My dad, who obviously had nothing better to do at work today, forwarded me this too. We used to live in Telford, which was teddy heaven between Merrythought, Bears On The Square and the 2 West Midlands Teddy Bear Festivals each year.
As an aside, I went to school with Sarah Holmes, although she was 2 years below me, and the first and last time Oliver Holmes ever spoke to me was to shout at me for letting his daughter get drunk at a friend's 16th birthday party. We'll not go there, but it was not my fault... We still buy Merrythought bears anyway
BTW, was anyone else worried about the limbs being passed to Pauline Davies to put the eyes in?!
It's worth watching the little video clips, especially about how the teddy bears are made. :)

I'm curious -- why?

Well, I was wondering why the limbs (arms/legs) would have eyes???

Bah -- that's being too pedantic. :)
