BrisbaneHow about dying some mohair green. Buy yourself enough in the beige mohair for the whole bear then dye a portion of it.

Did you end up deciding on the Bearz by Ilze tortise? As you can see from my photo here, I've made that one and just love it! 
Are you saying you're looking for some mohair to match what you already have as you didn't have enough or you're looking for enough for the whole tortise? If this is the pattern you are using, you're better off using mini bear fabric for the "shell" so that you can do the markings properly.
