Bearly awake
This bear really does sleep with the fishes.
The snoozing beast dozed off with a salmon under its arm in Alaska’s McNeil River, allowing an intrepid photographer to snap this incredible picture.
Brown bears who gorge on salmon in the river often sleep off their stuffed bellies in a nearby grassy field, but this bushed bruin never even made it that far.
Isn't this something.

Naw, he's just saving up that fish for a midnight snack!
Incredible!! If I were the salmon, I'd take that opportunity to very quietly/gently sneak away.
Yeah, I wonder if it's still alive?

Aww, what a superb photo.
I bet his little paw and footpads are all shriveled up though!!!

Hee hee, stuffed to the gills
Awww, this is an amazing shot! I love it!
It appears that the salmon is trying to quietly slip away - eeking his way out of the claws of that sleepy bruin!
Hugs,
Janice

Aww, bless! I love fish (http://xteddy.org/fish) as well, but it amuses me, knowing what I do of bears that this bear would be so lazy. Hehehehe. :) It's a shame there's no law for bears in this way; and now I want one as a pet. :) :)
