pampas3.jpgpampas.jpgHi Everyone
Hope you all had a good Halloween  Please meet Pampas-Peacock a new Capability Bear, who has just gone up for adoption at my website http://www.bearsofbath.co.uk She is approx 9 inches high and made from a luxurious 60mm lemon peacock faux fur which is absolutely delightful to scissor sculpt and paint. I hope you can pay her a visit

Oh that fur would have been SOOO much fun to sculpt!!! I bet that was your favourite part lol. I love this bear absolutely gorgeous. You mentioned the fur was good to paint, do you actually use paint or do you airbrush or shade with prisma colour markers or similar? I've been wondering about using paint on bears..... what kind of paint do you use?

Love this bear absolutely well done!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about Pampas-Peacock   I really do enjoy sculpting the Capability Bears.

Gabriele, I use acrylic paints which I dilute with water and gradually build up the colour. I find by slightly wetting the fabric with water before applying the paint you get  a softer effect and  don't seem to get harsh lines (more like working in watercolour) hope this helps you
