Oh Glenys... girl or boy... what's the name and I wanna piccy!  You can PM or email me if you prefer bear_happy  And mostly... how did you stay at "one" whippet?   bear_whistle   Part of the reason we are HOPING to move... if we sell this house... is the new house is in unincorporated.... so no city rules about how many dogs.  Not that we'll go crazy.... but we have 3 whippets now (all girls) and they are all 5.  Been getting puppyitis.....

OK  I have never experienced fried speghetti......do you fry the noodels before you add anything to them?  Or are they already in sauced?  And is this deep fat frying or pam in the pan frying?  And if you are frying naked noodles what do you doctor them up with after?

Hee hee hee, well I don't know if my way is the 'orthodox' way of doing it, but if I have leftover spaghetti (to me it's gotta be the homemade kind, prego just doesn't cut it!) I mix the two (noodles and sauce) and store it... Then when I'm ready for leftovers, I just melt copious amounts of butter (OK, well maybe just about 1/2 to 1 TBS) in a nonstick frying pan on med high heat then dump my spaghetti in...  Often (because I'm a butter freak and LOOOOOVE butter in my spaghetti.. if you haven't tried it, TRY IT!) I'll put a little more butter in and sprinkle with Parmesean cheese while frying (if you don't want the mess of the melted cheese, you can wait and put it on after).  You just have to fry it to heat it up, not cook it all over again!

I dump it on my plate and enjoy....  YUM!  It's even better when it's fried leftovers....

If anyone's interested in my homemade spaghetti sauce recipe, just let me know...  It's always a big hit and not too hard to make (it just cooks for a good while, but you can let it simmer and do something else)

Ha, Kimberly, I love fried spaghetti. Haven't made some in a long time, but as a kid I loved to do that. Real crispy brown and then some slices of cheese on top, yumyum.

My parents lived in Italy durring the Itallian western days, I guess that was the mid to late 60's.  Speghetti was served with copious abounts of butter and cheese and it was really too too too good.

Pizza was for sale on just about every corner in downtown Rome, but it was only ONLY sauce and cheese.....they told me then that adding all the extra stuff like we do was American.


Haven't a clue what they do now.....but the butter and cheese, you are right it was yummy.

Just to add to the whole fried spagetti topic.
I make mine just like Kimberly W. does, but I also add lots of cheese. Cheddar mostly. That way the cheese gets all crusty and Soooooooooooo good. Even cream cheese will work.
Nice and fattening.

I am from an Italian family as well I remember pizza was only Oregano (green) Buffalo cheese (White) Tomato (red) = Italian flag. A fave at Christmas was parmesan baskets
sprinkle a good layer of parazoan cheese in rounds on a baking sheet ( to look like biscuits) bake in a fairly hot oven until melted into a mass remove with a slice while still warm and shape over small patty tins when cool remove and you have tasty baskets to fill with whatever takes your fancy  bear_tongue  bear_grin

I don't do nuffin either..well, I have COPD and Fibromyalgia so I can only do what I can do...whats that ? ...almost nuffin. he, he...

hmmm.what do I really do ? Cook dinner , and found its helpful to have pizza on Sat. and breakfast on Wed. and crock pot that will last 2 days so the leaves 3 days I have to come up with something else.

I did dishes by hand for about 14 years ( plus 27 with me former husband and 3 kids) ...then hubby did them, he very very very  soon got sick and tired of that so we agreeded..get a dishwasher! Believe me that saves about 1 to 2 hours a day.

We live in a mobile home and theres just 2 of us so house work is done on a piece meal effort...whenever it  obviously shows  that  it needs to be done. He usually vacuums , I do smaller jobs. He sometimes does the wash BUT I told him if he is not going to spot the clothes then DO NOT DO THE WASH !
Grocery shop we both go once about every 2 weeks.  I mainly clean up clutter , pay bills, cut his hair, wash the dog,  water plants, dust, mop, cook, plan on WHAT we are going to eat and then cook it. Oh and a zillion other picky kinds of jobs that pop up here and there.

Hey Dilu...what kind of clorox thingy are you talking about? I have to stay away from all sprays except I love Bubbles bath cleaner so what I do is  flip on the fan, hold my breath, spray the sink then run out and close the door behind me. Later I go in and wipe and rinse the sink.

I do the same thing with the tub. WEll...almost. Flip the fan on, fill the tub with 3 inches of warm water, when almost done dump about 1 cup liquid clorox in. Run out fast.... Later, I use the toilet brush to scrub the mat and the tub while the water drains . For the walls I tell my husband when ever we take a shower ( separately ) starting on a Mon.  just spray and clean 1 shower  wall ...then I will do the next one ..you do half of the bigger one..I will finish up with the last small one . The walls only ned to be done every 2 weeks, this makes it easy. Wish I could find a way to do the dog as easy as this...he, he.
I went to using the swiffer to mop the kitchen...it is a  lot easier on my breathing problem.
To dust I use a magnetic type cloth...that keeps the dust from flying around.
Bears???? If I am not sick I can get a lot done and I too think that if I had a REGULAR 8 hr. job....No house jobs would ever be done..only on the week ends ! So....treat you bear making the same way..if your selling them then you are working.....Winney
