birdieinmirror2.jpgbirdiein-mirror.jpgThis wee bird fell a sleep infront of the mirror. He had put himself into a trance. But as always when you want to capture something so way cute, the little blighter moved. Well woke up in his case.

We have a bird that visits us every morning, but has become a pest, he sees himself in the window and sits and pecks at himself all the time. We are not sure what he is trying to do. He does this for about 10 days, then disappears and  I think, oh nooo he must have gone and got himself killed, then just when you have got used to it being quiet, you hear this "peck" 'peck" again. Of course the dogs get  all upset , untill they get used to it again, and this all happens at first light in the morning.

When we lived down south we used to have a hummingbird feeder on our kitchen window. the kind of little tube that is held on with a suction cup. ONe day we had this little tiny bird about 2" tall sitting there upside down drinking away the nectar. It tooks us several days to figure out what kind of bird he was.  A Verdin tiny little green bird with yellow patch on his head, very cute.
Anyway he came everyday for about four years to the window. If the feeder was empty or frozen he would cheep at the window til my husband would fix it up for him. I still miss that little bugger!!! bear_wub

Wonderful photos... I love wildlife, too.  If we lived out in the country, I could just sit out back for hours watching whatever happened to come by.  For now though, I have to be content watching our marine aquarium...  rather watch it than TV oftentimes!

Great photo, Matilda, and I loved the bird stories.  Don't know if it's good or bad, but my sewing machine faces a huge window and I frequently have to stop working and watch all the wildlife activity happening in my back woods.
