I have a teddy bear with shaggy fur and have spent hours searching on how to clean/brush him. I can't find answers or anything that looks like my bear as he has been discontinued by the manufacturer. His fur is matted in the back and I don't want to touch it until I know what to do. Here are some pictures of him, please help! Thank you all in advance!
I'd say that looks a bit far gone. But why not try a bit of talcum powder and brush it with a tiny teasel brush....one bit at a time...you never know
My children have teddies in similar materials. I have to admit that when they really are too dirty for words, I put them in the washing machine, gentle cycle, and wash them that way. I also put them in the tumbler (drying machine?), always gentle program. They come out clean and nice....but I understand if you feel it would be a risk!
....I know, now everybody will say that I am a racist and treat manufacturer teddies different from my handmade ones....
