The upload process does take several steps. This is the way I do it:
1. Click on 'Img' under the smiley bear faces.
2. Click on Browse.
3. Select the image from your computer.
4. Click on Upload Image.
5. Click on OK.
That should do the trick as long as the image is within the size limits.
