Hi. What a lovely bear. Looks to me like the style of a 'Me To You' Tatty Teddy but I am only guessing and there are so many different ones I wouldn't know where to start finding out more about him. I'm sure someone here will be able to help. Good luck bear_flower

Yeah I think its one of the old Tatty Teddy's but when I search for original tatty it isn't quite like this one, his fur is smoother, and not tatty. Ive read online that the first plush bears were introduced in 2000 but im sure ive had him longer than that.

Yeah I've just read that too, and see what you mean about the different textured fur. What a puzzle. I didn't even know until today that the origional bear was brown until I read the comment from Gravesong mentioning the story. Have just read it and it is so sweet! Hope someone else can help with more info, I'm curious now too.  bear_flower

I emailed Carte Blanche, and this was the reply I got
Hi Sara,

I have looked into this for you and it looks from your pictures to be a licensed product that was produced by a c company called Licensing By Design in the late 1980’s early 90’s.

Unfortunately I have no further information with regards to this product but you could try contacting Licensing By Design directly to see if they could provide additional information.

Kind regards,

Carte Blanche Greetings Ltd.
