Hi, I make bears and use the safety eyes with the plastic washer on the back. I know another bear-maker that uses the same eyes I do but she gets hers to recess a bit (I hope that makes sense, I didn't want to post one of her photos because of infringment) (they look sunk in a bit). How does one do that with the safety eyes? (Edited to add that I don't make bears with fur fabric, but out of recycling clothing).
Thank you so much.!
Lauren
Hi Lauren, you could do some needle sculpting of the eye area once you've stuffed the head. Check out the library and search function here for tips.
Becky
I agree with Becky. Needle sculp indents to create eye sockets.
Hi Laurin,
I realize this is a really late response to your question and I apologize for that. I have used the safety eyes on child-safe bears in the past and used the Life-Lyk Back from CRs Crafts with them. They work great to recess the eye when using the safety eyes. Hope this helps.
