I get the beautiful Satin Bower bird in my garden - the females and males are a kind of olive green - the male only goes a satin black when he reaches 7 years old. I also have 3 bowers on my property and all of them are surrounded in blue plastic pieces of some description! They are also very fussy about what colour blue it is too!
