Hi, new user here, sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I had a question about managing the lay of faux fur.
I recently bought a commercially available stuffed bunny for my partner. The bunny's fur is quite long and chaotic and obscures his eyes, which was not the case in the picture used on the advert. I don't think trimming is a good idea, so is there some way to groom or 'set' the fur around this area so that the eyes remain visible and he looks more like his picture?
Any advice is appreciated
Welcome to Teddy Talk, LancerD. If you don't want to trim the fur around its eyes, You could spray the area with a liquid hair gel and comb it back, fixing it however you think looks best. I sometimes used liquid spray gel on mohair when I was making teddy bears, but I don't know how faux fur will react to it. You might want to test it on an inconspicuous area to see. Hope it works out for you.
