It was a little hard to get him photod as the camera kept using too strong a flash.  I adore the center seam technique and the character you can create with it!!!!  The mohair certainly had a strong mind of its own as to where it wanted to go, despite wetting, taping, combing, but I don't care.  I wanted a more traditional look, but it still has the same contemporary style that I usually have with my bears.

Debbie

He's adorable - very, very sweet.  It was certainly worth all the hassle with his "hair".  You must be so pleased!

I'm so pleased with the way he's turned out!!!   bear_wub  I just love his expression, and he's such a little character.  In fact, he's just got that perfect feel/weight when I hold him...and such an adorable expression...I might not be able to let this one go!  bear_tongue

Vicky Thank you SOOOO much for telling me how to do the center seam!!!

I love this little bear. When first looking at him I wondered why you wanted to do a centre seam. He has turned out really well. Wonderful mohair.    The reason he turned out contemporary is the contemporary choice of mohair.  But I gather you already know that.  The centre seam also looks good on a sparse fabric as well.

He's a real cuty ,how big is he? bear_thumb  bear_thumb Matilda

He's just under 9 inches from top of ears to stretched out tootsies.   I realized the fur isn't the 'traditional' and I'm sure the different mohair (as you say, the sparse especially) will effect and bring out the center seam feature even moreso.  However, I just wanted to give it a go to see how the shape of the head would differ.  I usually make real fur bears, so the next attempt at center seam will be in real fur.  Heavens knows how that will turn out, but I want to at least try  bear_grin
