Hello All,

Letha of TigerGod InK! here...

I just wanted to say that I really admire Shelli's Bear's eyes. The lids give such a natural expression. I was wondering if there is a "how to" somewhere on this site. Though they are so exquisite, they could be kept as a trade secret. I've needle felted eyes, but never attached lids.

By the way, Shelli, I noticed in one of your post, that you were looking for some kind of adhesive for eye lids.  I haven't tried this at all....but I bought some kind of interfacing glue fabric - I forget what it's called at the moment - but you can get huge sheets of it; and it's used for gluing two fabric pieces together.
It looks like a spider web and you use an iron to make it stick.

I'm going to try it out on some different things.

I would love to know how to do such fabulous eyes for my bear's peepers.

Thanks, Letha

Hi Letha; thanks for the nice compliments on my eye technique.  It's not a secret, and it can be found in various places on TEDDY TALK, esp. in the reference library.

You can SEARCH "eyes" or "lids" or my name in combination with those things, or you can go to the REFERENCE LIBRARY and check out the EYES subject area.  The LIBRARY is a drop down menu in the TIPS & TECHNIQUES forum.

Feel free after doing that reading to come back with any specific questions and I'll be happy to answer them for you as best I can.

Thanks, too, for the product recommendation.  I wonder if it would stick to glass...?  But that gives me another idea, in terms of what to look for when I'm next at JoAnne's, etc.

Thank you!
