Could someone please tell me what a top knot is for the head?

A top knot is like a little pony tail folded back on itself. A Yorkie has a topknot.

Top knot also refers to a woman's hairstyle... in particular, a "bun."  Like what ballerinas wear.

Oh, now I understand, ,my daugther and I call them bonkers  So if someone puts a topknot on a bear, it would be a pony tail folded in half

they are so adorable, I love the ribbons in Majestic.  What a cute name for a boy dog - Studly.  They both have beautiful colors.  I want a cute little dog.  Could you just see me trying to put top knots in my yellow labs?  I don't even think my cat would let me.  Guess I will save this for my bears, if I can ever figure out where a top knot goes on a bear.
