Thanks very much for all your kind words. Just an update.
I went to the Specialist and he took more x-rays and there were no breakages that showed up, which is good.
He said that it is deep tissue injury which sometimes can take a long time to repair itself.
I am feeling much better and can now walk more on the flat of my foot, instead of on the side.
I still have two fat toes that look like little sausages - hehe!
So with the help of neurofene, I can get through this.
Hugs

 Aww take Care Carolyn !!!
Carolyn, I hope your foot is feeling much better soon......
Hi Carloyn,
Sounds like you need some pampering. I hope your feeling better real soon. ~ sandy
Awwwhhhh.....you definitely need more pampering  Get your feet up, ice, pain meds and chocolate!
Ahh honey-
I am afraid that you are experiencing medical care in the new world order....soon to be a hit a country or state near all of us.
I am so sorry.
I did it to my toes last summer....and yeah iced and hobbeled for about 3 months.
Didn't bother with the doctor, cuz I already had a pretty good idea what my insurrance would have said about that and decided that the money would be better spent on gollies and such than a denied inssurance claim.
sigh....
if it helps any, yes hair line fracters dont usually show up on exrays, well ones of the toes,
and there isn't really anything they can do for the toes....
I had the hubs tape them together
to keep them from flopping around while the bone regrew...it helps protect them.
And the goodnews is that they will eventually heal, they may not be pointing exactly the same way as before, but,
you will eventually feel better....if
you keep off them as much as you can and don't reinjure them, and thank God it wasn't something more serious....
Kind of a 'glass is half full' because you are so glad it isnt 'half empty' kind of outlook?
hope you feel better soon....
