(PenPen, Your fae-realm, kinda Brian Froud / Alan Lee, "FAERIES" avatar for Heather reminds me that I've been off and on searching, unsuccessfully so far, for a clear/easy/quick way to do PIXIE DUST in Photoshop, but haven't found a "good" tutorial on it, yet. If you like the mystical fairy kind of design stuff, like I do, like you did for Heather, for future use and projects you might want to Google "pixie dust photoshop tutorial" and see what you come up with. I haven't put in enough time searching to recommend a good one! If you find one, please share. It's on my to-do/to-find/to-learn list.)
Firstly -   Thank You all for your sweet comments. I have been unable to sew for a few weeks and HAD to find something to keep me sane! Making avatars for my friends has been a pleasure and it hones my photoshop skills too.
I'm glad you like the avatar Heather
I am producing graphics for cash at the moment to try and bring in some money (hubby is bearing the brunt of the spending at the momnent) so that i don't have to sleep in a cardboard box in a deserted shop doorway at nights. I can't wait to get back to the bear making!!!!!
SHELLI - oooooooo that sounds interesting! I shall check it out asap. Didd you ever find any use for that website link i gave you? Have you discovered how to make lace graphics yet? Let me know.
Weeell, i'm off to browse the net thanks to our Shelli
Penny
Pen, I did check out that lace graphics tut and bookmarked it. I'm so lazy, tho, that the last time I needed lace, I simply found an archival vintage type photo of some online and then did some kind of bevel/emboss, drop shadow, texture thingamajig to it to give it some dimension, plus I warped it to a much more squished, less elongated shape. I used it in my new website masthead. Check it out!
I will, tho, someday use that tut, to make my own lace. Thanks again!
Just lovely....someday soon I'll be getting in touch with Penny and order one of my own.

I think it looks great Shelli, why bother muckign about with making your own? I sometimes think you can make life more difficult for yourself by mucking about in photoshop.
I checked out a few sites for the fairy dust thingy Shelli and to be honest i would just paint the thing in myself - it ain't rocket science is it?
I paint quite a few bits and bobs in photoshop instead of using all the fancy graphics tools - lifes too damn short for that.
If i ever paint in any fairy dust i'll let you see it Shelli -probably won't be as 'graphically' perfect as if i used the tools but it would be intersting to see what i could do would'nt it?
The tutorials are so BLOOMIN BORING! Like being back at school but without the boy in the desk behind you sticking bubblegum in your hair!
