Hi All
I am really busy so can only pop in quick to say HI (i am waving here) and ask if anyone out there knows anything about Ball Joint Dolls? The beautiful dolls that come from Japan and Korea - anyone know of a good website for these?
I LOVE all the new bears and ATC's here
but i gotta go or i'll get hooked again!!!!!

I've heard of them too. Monstrously expensive, but so delicate and beautiful. There is a market for repaint/reborn-ing them. I believe they feature glass eyes.
Some of them are more cartoon-y looking. This one, to my eye, is particularly lovely.
I'm working on a collaboration with a polymer clay artist for two of her "Fairy Blossoms". We're going to spring 'em on the unsuspecting eBay market prolly the week after next...here's a link to her latest two:

..I get to make two bears for 'em, and their wings and various packaging paraphenalia. Am very excited about how they're going to turn out----we've got a wonderful seamstress who makes the most marvelous miniature costuming also in the project.

I want one of these dolls soooooooo bad - you can buy all their clothes, wigs, change their eyes, hands.feet, legs, arms, bodies, in fact everything including their sex!
They are very expensive but such a lot of fun too - you can do their make-up too - girly bliss huh?
Ooooh Penny... Because of you I passed half the day searching for a bjd on the internet...
I didn't buy any as I do not have the money (and because my fiancé would think I'm plain mad :/) but I want one too ! In fact, I want several ... I want some Volks, and some Serendipity, and these marvelous Dream of Dolls, and some Dolls in Mind. (I think the the Dream of Dolls are my favorite though). There are lots of information on this site :
http://www.denofangels.com/
and models of all brands here (but not Volks):
http://www.dollmore.com/
and some other here :

I think I will try to sculpt one myself
;).
Lots of hugs,
Marion
I have a feeling they could become addictive.
They are absolutely stunning.
I'm going to have to check these out myself.
