Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

hi im just going to start my first felted bear   , if mine looked as good as yours i will be over the moon :pray:  :pray:  i think he s great  :clap:  :clap:  best wishes jacky    

iv allways done crafts , i teach doll making,pouring moulds and firing so many things can go wrong   it can get you down, but with teddies it is so relaxing to just sit and sew. if things go wrong you can  put it right  with a dolls head if it cracks start again , iv never had a teddy of my own , i see a teddy on ebay fell in love   so i decided to try and make a bear for myself  :crackup:  :crackup:  hooked ,i would love to do teddies all the time but my doll students will not let me pack up        jacky

me for about 5 months     but love it and got a lot to learn   will post my second bear soon jacky :redface:  :redface:

thanks every one       im pleased with him as he was a old fun fur jacket from oxfam. not at ease to cut in to my one piece of mohair      but i will have a go this week :pray:  :pray: . the doll his bright eyes i won gold popler choice and costum at henly on thames at the GDS BRITISH DOLLMAKING FESTIVAL. iv been very lucky as iv one gold for the last five years so im not allowed to enter any more . so on to teddies  i still teach doll making have 10 students a week.     this one i won l gold last year.

thanks every one still got a lot to learn. the bears that are on this site are wonderful        them but iv only been makeing bears for about 8 weeks  hope to as good as you all jacky :pray:  :pray:

hi thanks for your replyes .   yes im not to bad at sewing. as i teach embroidery hand and machine. im a teacher on how to hand paint porcelian dolls . the teddy had them markings on the fur it was my body warmer . i find teddies a challenge but i will try and try till im happy  . have a nice day jacky    

Hi this is my first ever teddy.  Learnt to put pictures on today. well at least my grandson did. :dance: Hopefully its up to standard :redface: let me know what you think and how to inprove them. Thanks a lot Jackie
