IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH SOMEONE HAS ESCAPED FROM A MAD CAT ASYLUM!!!
SHE BETTER GET EMAILING ANDREW LOYD WEBBER, DIDNT HE ALSO CREATE CATS?!!
Krista just read all posts and I had already responded to Kathy's on another forum ...
I think Kim's quote above sums it up nicely!
Eliza I have used Helmbold, Schulte and Norton and find them equally as good as each other.
But like people, you find some good and some not so good in each of them ... the best way to find out is to try some for yourself ... what appeals to me, may not necessarily appeal to you.
Bargain pieces are definately the way to try out something new and as said before Johnna is a wonderful and helpful person.
Have Fun!
Thanks Shelli....I enjoy helping when I can.
Thanks Veronica....I think photos seem to help better than drawings somehow.

I have just discovered this magazine recently, and I love it. I love the nose class in this issue. I did a horrendous nose the other day and spent 30 minutes hacking it off. I picked up the magazine and read the article and redid my nose. I was so happy with my nose!!
Lots of great tips and projects!!!
Now that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy...I'm so very happy my article was able to help you complete a nose that you're happy with.
Like Chris, I find ABC a great combination...projects to help the newbies and interesting articles for us oldies. I also think with Sandra Wigzell (editor, bear artist, teacher and collector) at the helm, you will see an even better magazine develop over the next few months.
BTW love you're new avatar Chris.
I'm not a prolific maker as mine are made by hand...I know I started on my second lot of 500 tush tags at the end of last year.
So over almost eleven years, I'd estimate I've made somewhere between 500 and 550 bears. PHEW!
As a collector: I prefer a bear with some substance.
As an artist: I am a firm stuffer and even though the bears designed to stand do stand on their own, I still love adding a little weight to my bears (preferably glass beads).
