I'm the worst. Eyes first, then nose.

...

Ears are fixed 3 or 4 bears later, when I tell myself : Hey, if you want to take a photo, these pins won't look good...

Shame on me....:/

Marion

Dilu : I tried to match expressions with my photos but I've problem to see the connection... Thanks for the analysis, I think I see a little better now bear_original (and thanks for the kind words bear_original... In fact, now I know I look a strong woman, I will be less shy in the "real" life bear_original ).

I love this topic, hope there will be lots and lots photos !
In fact, I love your faces as much as your bears, girls, and that means a lot bear_original.

Sue Ann : you make bears with smiles as warm as yours ! You are both shiny !

Marion

Oh ! I wish I find such a perfume !!
The sad thing is that my fiancee just told me that he would hate such a perfume... bear_sad Mm... Maybe I should find another one... bear_rolleyes bear_tongue bear_happy

Marion

Mm... I don't think I look like my bears...

Happy anniversary :).

Marion

Hello:).
That's a good question:).
I have no ideas, but I feel concerned bear_happy (I have the same problem as you).
Amitiés,
Marion

I think I would be quite small, like 25 cm (10 "), with a quite small body, quite big head (not too big ears) and quite long arms, but not too long legs. Small feet (woolfelt, without any stitching toes). Little black glass eyes (or maybe blue). Dark grey or black mohair, not too long. Jointed but not too firmly stuffed (except in he head), so that I can move easily and bend arms and legs.
I will ask my fiancee to keep me as a bear (and not show me to anyone) and to let me use the computer... And to give me books, too. No need to eat or to sleep as I'm a bear (great!).
Mm... I must do some research, it's not very acurate...

It's a really great idea, Daphne : it can be really fun to try designing ourselves as bears ! I would like to try:).
Great topic Kirsten:).

Marion

Just tell me when you arrive:).

Marion

I love your bear too, Marie:). She is very very cute:). I wish you can show us some others soon:).
Nooj (my avatar bear) is near 32 cm (~10,5 inches) :). I'm very happy he pleases you:).
Hugs:),

Marion

I'm waiting for you, Danni :).

Marion

Dilu, you're right :D.
Louise, I hope you will think differently about your bears very soon : they are so sweet !
I have a suggestion : come to France next week, we will go to Paris, or wherever you want and I will take care of you in order to make this blue leave:).
(In fact, if any of you girl want to come some day, my house is open and I can make sweet chocolate cakes :). )
Chocolate hugs ;),

In fact, all my bears are boys except  the bears that I make thinking of them as boys since the beginning... It's a little frustrating... I must have a problem... Maybe I can find a trick, making myself wanting a boy when I want a girl ? bear_rolleyes
In fact, I just don't think about accessories until the bear is completely finished... It helps... :/

Daphne : for me, your avatar bear can be both boy and girl. She/he is a very sweet little angel !:)

Marion

Oh ! Thank you very much ! I will try to get one as soon as I can:).
Hugs,
Marion

Marion

Danni, I love your new avatar !
I'm not sure I can tell such a story about canibalism to children, but who knows ;).

Shelli, I'm sorry not to have chosen (eer... "to chose, chose, chosen" ?) a pseudo : "Marie" and "Marion" are very near... (I wish Japan and France were near, too... I so would like to go and visit this country !).
"Poivre vert" is just perfect ;). In fact, I must say that my first words in english were "cookies", "shortbreads", "brownies", "muffins" and "afternoon darjeeling tea" or so :D... One great french word is "éclair au chocolat":) (nooo, I'm not greedy at all...:P).

Veeery big hugs !:)

Marion

In fact, instead of shades of brown I would rather have mohairs of all the shades of red that can be done bear_original (yes, it's my favorite color... :D). I like white and old golden too. I found a white on olive back from the Schulte range that I really love (I've made 3 bears of it... not that I wanted specially to make 3 green bears, but I had enough for 3 of different scales,  so...). On 19 bears, only 2 are brown... mm... brown back, in fact, and white pills... bear_original. I find browns beautiful, however, but I don't know why I don't see what to do with them (maybe if I tried bear_rolleyes )...
I do love old pinks too... But it's more problematic than browns, in my  head, as I always get boys (even when I want a girly look) and it's really silly, but I have difficulties to make pink boys... One day, I will go through these a priori bear_original.

I can't wait to see your mint green bear, Shelli, it interests me a lot !:)

Mm... I think I will make a try in the blue range too very soon:).

Marion

Oh sorry, it's the "Harrap's new shorter" dictionary (English-French/ French-English) the "bible of bilingual dictionnaries" (so they say -in French- on the book :D). I always reffer to it like that, so I didn't tought it wasn't an evidence (it surely isn't, sorry *blush*). It's very helpful:).

I just love "two peas in a pod", it's so better that "larrons en foire" (ouch I do not know how to translate... mm... it means, err... "two peas in a pod" indeed bear_happy ).

Marion

If it's to check your theory, I can say I do love animals too... As Marie, I live in a appartement, so it's not easy to have pets around me, but my beloved black Labrador, Reglisse, lives with my parents and when I go to their house on week-end, I always work(for studies or stitching) sitting on the floor so that she can put her head on my legs as she finds them terribly confortable (It's extremely difficult to explain to her to move when I need to... she always makes as if she doesn't understand :D).

But in fact, my love (or respect for some, not really lovable a priori) makes me seem a little mad to my family, as I always rescue spiders or ants for example those big human beings want to kill, putting them (the animal, not the human beings bear_tongue) outside. One day, I've pass half an hour giving honey to a bumblebee that was too tired to fly and was waiting for death inside my house (poor thing). I don't know if it will remember me forever, but it was really what it needed (I was so proud of myself :rolleyes:).

Oh, and I'm vegeterian because of a horrible story : when I was something like 10, I found an egg beside the ducks' garden of my grandfather and I wanted to rescue the poor potential duck that was maybe inside, giving it all the warmness I could for days. On easter day, my grandfather came to see me and asked to see the box where was the egg. He told me the duck was born. He had put a small duck puppie he had bought in my box, but I beleived it was really  the one from my egg. I was very happy. He put the duck (again) in the ducks' garden, but for me, he was my dear pet (I named him "Bouboule"... nothing more ridiculous, but I was young bear_tongue ). But one day, long after, my parents and I went to his house for a meal, and he told me that the duck we were eating was Bouboule... What an horror bear_sad (I must say that my grandfather didn't mean to hurt me, he just isn't a very good psychologist :/). I first refused to eat any duck and after, I refused to ever eat an other animal... I think I may be forced to eat meat when I will be pregnant however:/.

Marion

(Thanks to my dear Harrap's, I now do know what a "brat" means... Mmm... nothing to do with me bear_happy :rolleyes: bear_original )

I really would like to meet your daughter ! I think we would get on well bear_original !
(sweeet teeths indeed :D)

(Oh, that reminds me I forgot something in my presentation : I've a fiancee too, and the baby is mm... let say -1 year old or something like that (*youhou, daaarling, you do want a baby soon, don't you ??? bear_rolleyes *)... I hope to stay a brat a little when my baby will be here^^.)

Marion

I just love this topic:). Here is my (little) story :
I'm very gratefull for tidying ! My mother, in a tidyness mood was putting some old clothes in a big bag... As I'm very curious and like to bother her gently, I began just putting conscientiously all the clothes OFF the bag and to try them one after all... And I saw the wonderful black fake fur coat she was wearing when I was a child... The day my father gave it to her as a present I remember having asked : "Mummy, couldn't we make teddies in it instead of using it as a coat ?" I immediately take the coat (letting all the chaos I made in place bear_tongue Poooor mummy... bear_laugh ) and began searching a pattern on the net. That's all but there is no day I don't work on a bear, now:). It's like I just do what I've ever wanted to do ! :)
My favorite bear is one of those I made off that coat, because when I hug him, I see myself as a chid, hugging my mother in her coat :).
