What excellent ideas everyone! So many options I never thought of. Thanks!!
Shari, I will be keeping my eye out for wallpaper on sale, super idea.
Watercolor paper! Why didn't I think of that, Kim? It reminds me that pastel paper also comes in lots of lovely soft shades and large sizes.
You all got me thinking beyond just paper and it occurred to me that I could also glue fabric to a sheet of posterboard to make a nice wrinkle-free background too. Now I just need something to photograph! lol
I'm slow but I'm working on it!
 beary hugs,
Your welcome Shelli!
I get sooo much out of TT, it makes me feel ridiculously good to be able to contribute a little something useful.
bear hugs
Thanks, Bronwen!
I will check it out.
Does anyone know good on line source for colored poster board or something similar? I've been looking for some to use for photo backgrounds and the only colored sheets I can find are very bright colors... not what I had in mind. I've tried googling without much luck. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Oooooh, I can see it now too. Very nice Paula!
Thanks Quy, I was seeing the old one too.
I like your new avatar bear too Kim!
Great new looks for the new year.
Shelli,

Heather,
Thanks! I have painted regular poly clay before baking, but didn't know if you could do that the liquid stuff. I will try it.
Kim,
Twinkle is darling.
The wings are great and I love her antennaes. Hope you're feeling better too!
I had never seen fusible fibers before. I can imagine all kinds of possibilities. Thanks Kate!!
Shelli,
Thanks for showing such a great way of attaching wings. I have been wondering about that.
Wow, so many great techniques, ideas and materials. Thanks everyone for sharing. I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head now and not enough time to do them all!
Nice site, Estelle!
The counter said '50' when I visited. The pictures were slow, but I have dial up and expected that.
hugs,
You did an excellent job on your site. The voting is a great idea! ![]()
Very cute! I love the color. Can't wait to see the body too. Great job!

You did a great job on your website and in only a half a day too! What a lovely lot of cute little bears. They deserve a cyber home to show them all off together. Great job.

But it's fun being challenged to go out of your comfort zone and try new things...sometimes they work out great!!!
You are so right about that Shantell!
Oh Judi, I am so very sorry.
It's hard to know what to say. Everyone has given you good advice. I think being gently straightforward with children is best, then just listening and letting them express their feelings. Closure is important and Daphne's idea of a service is a very good one. I can't add much else except lots of heartfelt sympathy....

Sending warm and supportive thoughts your way,
Poe is delightful. What a nice gesture. He will make some lucky person's day!!

Wow! What incredibly gorgeous creations. Again, you all have me in awe of your creativity and talent.
This is a great topic and has me bursting with questions. I don't want to pry into anybody's secret methods but I'm sooo curious.... Heather, did you paint those stunning polymer wings? If so, did you paint them before or after you baked them? Tami, what sort of clear paper do you use? Shelli, the bear in the top photo is my favorite of all your bears I've seen. She's simply beautiful. Are her wings made out of some sort of paper-ish material? They're very cool.
Uh.., I could go on and on with more questions but I'll stop... If you don't want to give away your secrets, no problem!
I was trying to make a pair angel wings out of some sheer fabric I found... I thought they looked okay until I saw all the lovely wings on this thread... I think I'll start over now...
Very cool and interesting Deb. I thoroughly enjoyed reading you posts. I never knew coatimundes lived in the U.S. or that people had them for pets.
Heather, we've stuck with Amanda through thick and thin
So many people seem to think animals are disposable and abandon them at the first sign of trouble. It sound like your lovely lady is a handfull but you've given her a good home. Good for you!  I hope you can find her a good vet.
Thanks for sharing, it has been a treat.
 hugs,
Amazing. A truly gifted child. As you said Shantell: inspiring.
If I ever get a website I'll swap links with you!! Not much help now though is it.
