I can't believe he is crocheted Soo cute!
Thank you Jane, Melisa and Sue It was a lot of work preparing for this show, and the first time I've had to make anything in bulk: I don't think I've made this many sloths in a YEAR before, let alone three months! I'm in awe of people who do this al the time...
Congrats everyone
Congrats! Looking forward to photos
Awww, her head is so big Hope she does well!
Thank you Richard and Katy I love Somber and Tully too, they've definitely had a lot of comments so far
Hopefully that'll mean good luck for them on Sunday!
Thank you Sorry you won't be there!
Wow, so many! They all look cute, can't wait to see your table in person
Thank you for your comments Can't wait to meet you both: we can stand in a corner and cry with nerves together!
Hi everyone :)
Just uploading my Hugglets photos! Here's all the sloths that are coming with me on Sunday, I leave tomorrow so the update is tonight I'm afraid!
From the top left they are:
Scraps, an 11" scruffy female, Wishel, a fluffy 14" male, Somber, a sad little 11" boy.
Tully Applebottom, a 13" boy who's going to be the centre piece of the table: he's a gnome! Then there's Blush, who you may recognise if you've been following me for a while, and Hobo, a 12" scruffy sweetie.
Bert, the boy with the new body sitting at a solid 14", Saffron the clown (11" of fun!) and of course Leo who you've also met before (he's 13").
Finally, here's Bert, Saffron and Tully's full body shots: you may have spotted something new for Je Suis Lugly in Berts' design! Tully has got a fish pond and two fish too, he's going to be the centrepiece and I love him I hope I can enter him in some competitions! There's also a shot of Saffron in all his glory, hopefully he'll find a new home too.
Thanks for looking :)
Chloe xx
PS Thank you Teddy Talk, without you I would never have had the skills to have been invited to Hugglets... I am grateful to everyone who's shared knowledge with me over the last four years. We see so far because we stand on the shoulders of giants :rose:
Is she one of the Russian girls from a few seasons ago? Poor thing...
Thank you Are you coming all the way to the show?
Here's a few faces I'll have better photos soon, the waeather here is DREADFUL for photos...
Clockwise from top left: Somber, Bert, Leo and Scraps.
Thank you!
Sorry it's just a tease but the gang hasn't had their official photoshoot yet! I'll add new preview photos during the week These are some of the plan sketches I did before I made the sloths shown here, they're part of the new certificates I'm designing for each sloth/bear. Hopefully they still look cute to you all, sorry if this isn't the best place for them (I wasn't sure as it's a sketch, but there weren't any similar posts to go on...)
More later this week, can't believe in seven days it'll all be over!
Chloe.

Eeep! So excited!
Hiya,
Just a quick note on the blood pee comment: I'd take your cat to the vet and ask them to check if his urine is crystalising: we had this problem with Winnie. Basically crystals formed in his bladder (it's common in older spayed males) and they blocked his ureter, causing him a lot of pain and then uncontrollable peeing when the build up became too much. We rushed him to the vets and were told it's potentially life threatening, but a few dietary changes fixed it: definitely work taking him to the vets and asking!
Hiya Tami I'm no airbrush expert as you know, but the shop I work at has Schminke airbrush inks and there's a white opaque that you can mix: there's also an additive for using it on fabric. Not sure how much use I'm being, but thought I'd let you know that that range has a fabric additive too
Thank you Cat You should come!
Hi,
recently I made a bear with next to no seam at the front of his arms by patttern draping: I made a clay replica of the limb and then used tissue paper to work out the necessary dart locations Maybe that would help you make your ideal arm? Don't forget to reinforce the seam if you'll be putting a joint through it though!
Very cute Dawn! his nose is so big: he'll to grow into it I think
Wow Chloe! Your new sloth is gorgeous!!!
Hugz
Krista
Thanks so much Krista! I hope all my others turn out as well as he did: I was struggling with his face for ages and then I tried a different mouth and suddenly Leo was good looking again
You're a sweetheart to say that, you can stand by my stall all day if you like!
I spy sloths! Lots of two toed ones at least I'm loving the baby ostrich actually
Lol, you guys would have spoilt my surprise if I wasn't so excited I've added him to my avatar I guess that's one less for the September previews! Thanks for complimenting him, makes me feel like I might fit in a bit better amongst all the amazing artists at Hugglets each year
Gantaeno wrote:Eeee, so glad to see a new Wee Scone! I hope plenty more are in the works, he's gorgeous
wow your sloths just get better and better!
Awww thanks, you're a sweet heart for saying that I am trying to work on Hugglets sloths at the moment and it makes me want to curl up and sleep forever! I can't want to see more of your bears though: when I first joined here and started to learn your bears are pretty much exactly how I dreamed mine would be
(Sadly I then discovered I can only make gormless looking freeks.... ah well, I still love 'em!)
