The collector who bought my bear "Sam Ting" from the anime challenge decided he needed a girlfriend. Here are the 3 girl bears that I have just made for her to choose from. They are all 41/4" to 4 1/2" tall. As you can see from their names they don't believe in being very subtle about their hopes!
I've also included a photo of Sam Ting in case anyone didn't see him before. Gee, I think his grin has gotten bigger! LOL

Fantastic doll, Penny!
No you're certainly not the only one!
My weakness is antique and vintage bears and dolls. I remember years ago when I found an antique Kaiser baby in a shop while on holidays, I told my husband if I could just have THAT doll I'd never want another! (fortunately he didn't hold me to it!). Lately it has been bears more than dolls and here is photo of the bear that I just had to have when we were on vacation in Arizona a couple of winters ago. Took all my spending money for the trip (and then some!) and a whole lot of room in the car too but he was worth it!

Thanks for offering to let us use your wording, Kim - you have expressed it very well!

Here's one thing to consider - if we all email him from our own private emails, telling him to back off, there is nothing he can do. I know from experience that Ebay won't do anything if the emails are not sent through Ebay's system. Maybe we should innundate this jerk with emails, saying we are watching him etc. - nothing nasty, just "we watch our for each other so please stop"!. It's worth a shot.
Only thing is, Brenda, not sure I like the idea of this creep having my email address if I emailed him! I used to get so much spam email and only recently has it been back down to only the odd one every few days.

Wow, Sandra! That is your first bear! What a great job! My first bear wasn't anywhere near that great.

Thinking about you, Daphne, and hoping the flooding situation doesn't get any worse.

So sorry to hear about your aunt, Lanie. I hope she makes a full recovery.
I think we all need to read that poem by Erma Bombeck every so often to remind us what is really important.
Sending prayers and good wishes to you and your aunt,
Bear hugs, Edie
Judi,
I have noticed more and more sellers putting notices on their auction listings that warn their buyers that they will never send second chance offers so if they get one it is bogus. Maybe this is something you might want to think about starting. Of course that doesn't prevent someone from stealing the photos and doing a listing but if it doesn't have you as the seller then most people would be wary about I think. I wish there was some way to get rid of these people and make the internet a safer place!

Happy Mother's Day to all!
I am just having a leisurely day - church this morning (I had to take the cake for this month's birthdays and it was a smashing success - new recipe and I have been having some trouble with this high altitude baking - haven't done enough to get used it yet even though it's been 4 years! - so that was a relief that it turned out!) Then we had a late brunch when we got home from church which hubby offered to make but I thought I'd rather eat my own cooking *grin* - although I guess I really should encourage him. Sat out on the upper deck to drink our coffee since it is so nice out - just heard yesterday that they've decided coffee is good for us again - like 3 cups a day even!!! Yippee!! Talked to my daughter in Edmonton and opened presents from her and then talked to my Mom out in Manitoba. It is such a lovely day here , and not much wind for once, so we are going to go for a nice long walk and then have King Crab legs for supper - my favorite!!! Hope everyone has a great day!

I think ebay should just do away with second chance offers - they seem to do more harm than good! And now most people are so afraid of them they won't buy even if it is a legitimate second chance offer!
Sue Ann, in spite of all the things you hear there are way more good things on ebay than negative - it is just the negative that gets the most attention. I don't know if you have a lot of shops and shows near where you are, but for those of us who don't, ebay is just a godsend! I know I would not be making bears still if it weren't for ebay as I really would not have had any place to sell them for the last 5 years. And even for buying on ebay it has literally opened up a whole world! I have bought a few things that I wouldn't have if I had seen them in person first - or wouldn't have paid as much - but they are offset by some of the incredible deals I have gotten. Similarily the few jerks I have dealt with are more than offset by all the wonderful people and friends I have met through ebay. Honestly I would be just lost without it!!!!

Oh it was so much fun wasn't it! I really felt like I had been at a girls gab party! If I had know you were only going to go for another half hour I'd have stayed up! Couldn't sleep after anyway til about 2:30 - too wired up, just like I used to get at the doll club meetings when I lived in Edmonton. Thanks Aleta and Louise for this great idea!

Okay, gang, it's been a blast but I'm checking out - way past my bedtime! At least I lasted til we got to 20 pages!
nite, nite, Edie
Haven't got a clue what you said Shelli! No I'm not German - Scottish/English heritage but my husband's heritage is Ukranian/Polish if you are referring to my last name. My maiden name was Bond
Edie
Shelli, there is absolutely nothing quite like huckleberries - they are sooo good, as long as they are ripe! I would compare them most to saskatoons, only way better except that you can eat saskatoons even if they are not totally totally ripe but if huckleberries aren't totally ripe they are really sour! My husband's favorite pie is huckelberry and saskatoon next then blueberrie.
Edi
Boy this thread is going to sound pretty funny - the way we jump from one thing to another with so many people posting on different topics to anyone who reads it later!
Edie
And do you go to Mrs. Spoonovers in Whitefish, Amelia - it's a must when we are passing through there!
Edie
Close to Lundbreck, Amelia, which is just a little village half way between the Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek - if you've heard of them - if not then 2 hours south of Calgary is the best description. Wasn't really shopping for anything in particular - like Kalispell because of TJ Maxx and Ross and Famous Footwear, etc.
I did get to all those stores in Missoula on the way through. It's just that Kalispell is only 3 hours away from here and has better shopping than Great Falls which is 4 1/2 hours and the next closest place.
Edie
Oh, Amelia, I just notice you are in Kalispell! I was almost there a week ago. We were returning home from the Okanogan in BC and took the route through the States and planned to come up through Kalispell and spend a day shopping - I love shopping there! - but it turned out there was no Sam's Club in Spokane and we needed to get a generator from them in case we get flooded this spring so we had to carry on through Missoula and up to Great Falls and home so I missed my shopping in Kalispell!
Edie
Nope, bare feet here - love shoes and have a whole closet full but 90% of the time I am running around in bare feet!
Edie
You are just too funny, Renae! If you another career you should take up writing!
Edie
I hardly ever watch TV but got hooked on Survivor. Anyone watch it?
Edie
Good night Sue Ann, sure has been fun!
Edie
Sure hope your puppy is okay, Louise!
Edie
Hi Shelli,
this has been a blast! It'll take you a while to catch up alright!
Edie
Never heard of it Louise!
