Teddy Bearby StandStill
I woke up one morning and realized you don't want me. You grew up awfully fast. I wish I had taken more time to love every little piece of you because now you're moving on faster and faster away from me. Pretty soon, you'll be a little speck of dust on a horizon in my memory. And that scares me, friend. You're supposed to need me. I'm your teddy bear. Remember when you got me for a Christmas present a year ago? I remember. I came out of the box and you clung to me. I was awake, then. That was when I feel like my life began. No moment before that.
I didn't belong before I belonged to you. You took me everywhere, through the playground and the dark basement. You held tight to me in the dark. And I know my head's full of fluff, but I can tell. I can just tell that you're growing older and pretty soon, I'll fall under the bed with all the other toys.
I don't really wanna die that way..
LOVE his coloring! GREAT job!

I have to say... by far... this is my favorite! You really have the magic touch
He is sooooo cute .... wish we all could take that class.
Thanks Tami..... Yes Colorado can be very hard to deal with. I grew up in the springs and hate the cold.... Thanks for the tips... my hair has been up all week. It is
here at night and if it is only this hot for a few months I might be able to live with it if we ever did move here. I just never felt this kind of heat before and the humidity is crazy!
I have to say after thinking about the last couple winters of shoveling snow it does make the heat here look a little better.
I am in Texas right now because my "non legal husband" had to come down for work... Well, while he is at work I get to play. It is so pretty here!
I was wondering... is it always like this? We have been to Austin and San Antionio and both are so hot that I sit in my hotel room and read. If I go anywhere I have to walk and just to walk a couple of blocks is not fun. He wants to move down this way in a couple years..... YIKES. How do you do it... do you get used to the weather???
I am so sad I was not able to make this get together . Please let me know when you will be doing it again and I hope I can make it to that one  . Sounds like you all had so much fun!
CR Crafts.... Love the stuff! http://www.crscraft.com/
You are killing me with your wonderful doogles One day I vow to own one. Great job
I love him... what a great idea
Sounds like Colorado weather! Wow, that is a lot of snow in one day...
Sheryl, I checked out your website. I love the pooh corner song too. And I love your memory bear made from the navy dress pants. How wonderful!!! How long have you been making bears? Thanks for the kind comment too! I am still learning and hopefully getting better with each bear or dog I make. Having lots of fun along the way--though I have many frustrations as well.
I am working on my own website. Hope to have it up and running soon. It is taking me a long time but I am close to getting it done.
Beth
Thank you for the kind words Beth. I have to say that the Seabees bear was so very hard for me to make. The pants are my significant others fathers. It was his idea to use the pants for his daughter.... the problem for me was that there was only one pair he had. I was so scared I was going to mess it up!
I have been making animals and things all my life. I made a miniature lifesize horse for my daughter years ago. My downfall is that I have never made my own patterns. I am in the process of trying to do that. I also crochet and I do create my own designs for that.
I look forward to seeing your website, good luck in getting it going. I also look forward to meeting you when we can all get together.
Sheryl
He is so cute! He lookes like he is wearing a warm fuzzy winter coat!
Sheryl, I certainly hope you come! I am pretty new at this myself--only been at it a little over a year. I am very excited that this is something actually happening in my area. Hope it works out !
I wish someone really did have a jet to go around and pick up all the TTers who wanted to come. A TT convention would be great wouldn't it?
Beth
Thank you Beth! You have only made bears and more for a little over a year?? Wow you are a natural

Sheryl we would love to have you, I will add your name to the list.....
Thank you Tami!!!
I live in the springs, but I am not nearly as talented as all of you! I would consider it if you wanted a new teddy bear maker in the group...
You could always call her "Sam" that could be a boy or girls name. I am sure there are many others. She sure is cute
She looks like a Emma or Molly... more Molly to me.
I understand you being shy honey, but learn at an early age to go for what you want. Stand up for yourself and go for it. It never ever hurts to ask, or talk to someone... a teacher, another friend to help you, anyone who can make your dreams come true. Remember this is your dream and no one can make it happen except you. You are in control of your future.
If they say no, well at least you tried... but don't let it stop you from trying in the future! GO FOR YOUR DREAM!
I am not sure they will just go away. Do you have a wildlife division that could help. We had them kill our chickens! They are not scared of humans, but never attacked us. Keep your pets safe, always be with them!
my mom and dad work as piano teacher and a..er..person who works with computers. oh, and i am twelve, so i go to a middle school. they dont have craft fairs. oh, and my bear is on my blog. (in forums)
I saw your bears and I think you have a wonderful talent! Since your school does not have a craft fair, why don't you bring it up to someone and see if you can get one going. Like I said, schools are always wanting to raise money. Craft fairs bring in a great deal renting spaces!
Bearyfun, does your mom and dad work? Would they be willing to promote your bears there?
Also, does your school have a craft fair? Could you talk to your principal about maybe having one, every school needs to raise money for something? You could then have a booth for yourself. I work in an Elementary school and I organized out craft fair for years and got a free booth for all the work I put into it.
I would be interested in seeing your bears if you could post one, it would give me a better idea of what kind of market you would be into.
Another good idea is you could make them for your friends as birthday/christmas gifts and that helps spread the word.
Hope this helps!

Just wanted to let you know that I've had a couple of emails about this, I think we might have overloaded the system, but it seems to be ok now, though I have been astounded by the amount of votes already!
So if anyone has any trouble with the link, please wait a little while and try again - if the problem persists (I feel like Dr Mel ) can you please send me an email to let me know, because I would hate to think that your vote couldn't be registered + it costs alot of money to host these things on the servers (and even they have to earn their keep by giving us reliable service ) so we have to keep them honest! Thanks for the support everyone- I know the finalists appreciate it!
Mel
Thank you, I will keep trying!
I voted... wow, that was hard... they were all so wonderful    to all of you!
