Thank you, everyone for the excellent points to ponder! It's all very helpful.
Another thing to consider is stitching it from the same direction on each side. In other words, don't go up one side and down the other. Isn't it amazing how the slightest thing can make such a huge difference?
Sue, he's just beautiful.........and big! I can see why you say you were exhausted after stuffing him. You did a great job with him.
I really love it when you take a course and the teacher really does share all those things you need to make a bear (or whatever) very successful. It's a gift!
Paypal..........isn't it a shame that there seems to be no competition for ebay and paypal? I'm ready for something other than the two of them to finally arrive and be equally successful.
Outstanding! Great innovation there.
phenomenal! I love the detailing on the bears feet, etc. And those cans and trashcans and other things you make from the leather are amazing!
What a great idea! I have some of my doll clothes patterns cut out of similar materials but I never thought to group them together with the ring. Very clever!!
What a lovely display of fantastic little rabbits. I'll bet those who got there late were so sorry to have missed getting one of your 9 cuties! Congrats on your award. What a great day you had.
I would like to know: how important is it to participate in a show? This would be something I probably couldn't do.
This is such a great help to a newbie.
Wow, Carolynn, for not selling yet you certainly have thought it through and have come up with many things to consider!
Daphne, thank you for a very interesting topic! I can't wait to read more.
Oh Judi, I love this photo. What a cutie.
Yes, Kelly, this is great inspiration.
Thank you all! Great advice. How sweet that you used your doggie's name as a memorial of her.
I believe when I'm ready I'll think of something fitting and I hope it's something that will be likable and appropriate for some time. I didn't think of the domain idea. This will help a lot, too.
I'm not ready for this yet but any tips on naming your teddy bear business? I've thought of probably 30 names and Googled them with different combinations and find something similar (or a bear with that name by a national company) almost every time. Help!
How wonderful for you! And exciting as well. I love your beautiful illustrations. Good luck with your new venture.
How wonderful! My congrats to all of you.
How neat that this designer was showcased the way she was for the movie. I agree that I know a couple of people who have done tiny knitting and I've even tried it for my Kish Ellery doll.
Wow, what fantastic photos. A real nice-up close primer on these little ones. Thanks for sharing. I loved last year's, too. They had their eyes open.
These are all good questions and I would enjoy hearing from those more experienced. I have purchased from Schoepfer a number of years ago. They have nice eyes and the service was good at that time. Good luck with your project!
I noticed your work on ebay a while ago and can say that your achievements are a goal to work toward in my bear and animal making. I think your things are just amazing and so realistic.
Don't let negative talk get you down. I saw a T-shirt at the mall the other day. It said: 'You are nobody until you are talked about'! I love that one.
Thank you both! I appreciate it very much. One of these days I'll get some photos of those I've finished. :photo:
Hi, I was wondering if there is any rule (or tips) on the direction the fur must be going on the gusset piece? I'm using mohair with a med-length and it has a bit of a curl or bend in it intermittently. Thanks all.
Congratulations to all the winners    and also to all those who entered. What a wonderful group of bears and buddies.
I love your new doll! Is she paperclay......Oh gosh, that's what you wrote! My daughter and I love playing with that medium. She sculpts and I sew!
Congrats. What a nice result!
What a lovely puppy dog! Only 4 months old. How large will she get? I like her markings, too!
