Absolutely lovely!!!
Thanks for the comments guys!
Here are the two latest additions to the army...
Zombie bear stands on his own, and yes, those are holes in his fabric you see... he is deteriorating before your eyes!!! Ok, not really, each hole is needlefelted so nothing is coming out of it... but it looks like he could start oozing teddy guts at any time!!!
I love him! His paw pads are fantastic!!!
Thanks guys! Yeah, he's a pretty sweet little zombie... maybe he just wants to eat gummy brains...?
There will be another zombie coming, maybe he'll be a little more gruesome? I'm not sure!
Here is the next to be done in the needle felted army XD A Zombie Bear... he's constructed just like the grey bear I posted earlier... but... zombified!
He can also stand on one foot on his own! Quite the balance for the Undead!
I have an etsy shop and my advice based on what I've learned would be:
1. Do it, setting it up is really simple.
2. Make sure you pay attention to the size and dpi recommendation for photographs that you upload, otherwise they'll look awful.
3. Don't be in too huge a hurry to list everything all at once. You can view how many times people have looked at your item, and how many people "heart" it... so take a little time and spread out your listings, mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends... and see which listings get the most hits.
4. Use those keywords!!! Any keyword you can think of that might be pertinent (even ones like "cute") is helpful
5. Find shops on there that you like, and "favorite" them... often, this will generate more people "favorite"ing you in return, and then more people could possibly find you when they browse that shop's favorites. It's how I've found a lot of great sellers!
Hopefully that wasn't totally useless!
Thank you!
The Army is under way... I hope to start needle felting them tonight
So Cute!!! I love his face!!!
Thanks guys! I'm so excited to make more of these... they're really cuddly XD I started cutting them out last night... right now the army is in pieces
Thanks guys!!!
I actually have plans to start cutting out the 'army' tonight XD
I've only been making bears a short while and am not at all to the level of supporting myself on them!!! I'm a full time Graphic Designer
Well, I finally drew up a new pattern that I like and this little guy was the result! I think I'll have to make more.
Button jointed, with a cotter pin joint for the head, polyfil stuffing and safety eyes... his muzzle and nose are completely needle felted, and entirely hand shaded by me (the wool I used to felt with was white)
I am going to give him needle felted paw pads and probably some little apoxy sculpt claws too
What a smug looking little cutie!
LOVE IT!
HAHA! I finally managed to log back in...!
Yes, I LOVE Summer!!! and soon my little bear should arrive to Laurie with some exclusive Michigan summer treats I will post a pic when she says she's gotten them
(I have posted more pics of Summer at: http://adventuresofdotdotdot.blogspot.com/ )
Absolutely lovely work!!!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!
I can see why you wouldn't want that little guy to stay in an unhappy home, he's such a cutie!
This is definitely buyers remorse... they admitted to making a careless purchase. If faces were really *SO* important, they would have studied it more carefully before they bought... I mean, it's on etsy, so it wasn't like there was an "ending auction" coming up to pressure them.
No, you're doing the right thing, and hopefully they're learning an important lesson.
Congrats!!!
Our prayers are with your family
I am in love with this bear.
He could be a Pippin, Pippet, Speck, David (ala David and Goliath or David the Gnome! ), Atticus, Sparrow, Mouse, Teddy, Bean (like Jellybean!)
I can't wait to get started!!!
