TBAI was lots of fun! It was absolutely incredible how many artists & collectors created hats for the Mad Hatter's Teaparty. It was a little like being on a Hollywood runway with everyone posing to have their pictures taken!

Although I have never dyed wool, I have dyed mohair, with much sucess. Wool is a natural fiber & should take a dye easily.  I personally use Rit because it is available everywher & is cheap. If you want you can pm me & I will send you instructions.

I have been such a bad swapper! I got my wonderful ornament all the way from the Anita in Netherlands & I havent been able to post a picture!  I hurt my back last week and I haven't been able to bend to take a picture.  My brother borrowed my light tent & it would have been easy to do if I could have just gone downstairs to use it!  I also wanted to do justice because the ornament I got is absolutely magnificent!

I did the best I could with the tools I have. This little bear is so cute & is only 2.5 inches tall. He fits inside his hand painted glass ornament.

I took my ornament to the post office today.  I had to get it out today because we are expecting up to 12 inches of snow tonight & tomorrow.  If they it snows hard tonight they will call off work tomorrw & I won't be going anywhere!

I happened to go out on our front porch yesterday.  (I usually enter & exit through our garage). I was very surprised to find a package on my porch. My son, who regularly goes out of our front door said, "Oh yeah, that's been out there a few days. I thought it was something you were mailing out." Grr!

It was my lovely little ornament from Anita Jimmers! All the way from the Netherlands just to sit freezing on our frount porch for days! He is the cutest little bear named Noel!  He fits into a little glass ornament! I will post a picture of him as soon as I can.

I just took a pause from working on mine to check my email, etc. Of course I can't do just one. I'm making one for my mom, my sister, each of my grandkids, & maybe a neighbor or friend or 2 who have been so helpful to us this past year. Of course the first one done will be the one I mail out.

Here is a picture of my lovely mom & Ken appraising the bear.  Hard to believe that my mom is 82 years old! I was really surprised at how the color popped after I gently washed the bear!

It is never too early for me to start working on my Halloween stuff & with my hubby getting an operation & being in the hospital needlefelting transports well.  I was working in the waiting room & had all sorts of people asking me if I was working on voodoo or what????  This Witchy Weenie is # 2 of a OOAK series.  She is needlfelted in blac, green & orange on light tan mohair.  There is more info on her on my blog at www.mutztoots.blogspot.com.

My best birthday present was this bear.  These are before & after pictures. My mom gave him to me.  He belonged to my dad.  He is a Pets bear from about 1920 or so.  He has a working music squeezebox in his tummy.  I had just cleaned him & repaired him & then gave him back to my mom for Mother's Day.  I still can't belive she turned around & gave him back to me!

Hi All,
I am trying to get all my posting done in one day.  My hubby Scott, aka Thunder, had phase 2 of his surgery (shoulder) on July 1st.  Everything went well & he is home and although he is tired & sleeping alot, he is doing well. We will be going to the doctor on the 9th for a follow up. Only one more phase to go (I hope).
